  1. Excellent points from Manu. Well articulated as well and to the point. I do not know why some English channels invite panelist's who do not know any English? This Tyagi guy or whatever completely is out of place in this discussion since half of the population would not know what the hell he is babbling about. If every tom dick and harry start talking in a language that's not part of the discussion, then pretty soon this discussion would be down the toilet in a hurry.

  2. What can you expect if you have you have a negative minded, cynical Anchor? He is so downbeat that any new ideas will never see light of day in his show. No wonder while other shows have viewers in hundreds of thousands his viewers average less than 7000. Just a matter of time this will be down to hundreds only. The man is a disaster.

  3. Qureshi Sahab let us conduct elections for next 50 years together. Let us have 20 elections together in 2024. Have you lost you mind in your Yes Minister ways?

  4. There is a need for a comprehensive electoral reforms. In my opinion, apart from simultaneous elections the following reforms are the need of the hour 1) Any politician convicted in any crime or scam, ban that person from participating or campaigning in any kind of election in any manner. 2) A person who is elected for some post (MP or MLA) should be expected to complete 5 years of his elected tenure. He should not be allowed to resign from his post and contest in any other election for the tenure of his elected term.

  5. Just imagine, what would have been the fate of the people left to the mercy of state governments in the absence of Central government and the Supreme court.

  6. Those people who oppose a nation a election, the same people would support it if Congress did the same thing,

  7. This guy Thapar knows that you have to think out of the box and there is every possibility of coming up with a workable solution….he looks like a born pessimist….ultimately national interests should take precedence over parties interests.

  8. even though i am modi bhakt … but one nation one elction is bad abd idea…. we cant blind like congi family supporters ,, what wrong is wrong

  9. hmmm India want to follow our Pakistan model because we have both our Provincial Assemblies and National Assembly, at the same time in a single day..

  10. Don't you think calling an early election is a failure of the incumbent government? They are calling an early election because they feel that they have a better chance now then may be 2/3 years down the line of winning the election because the momentum that they have created now would not last for 2/3 years down the line. Shouldn't the Chief Ministers be constitutionally prohibited from doing this kind of stuff?

  11. Democratic Elections in an eighty percent illiterate country who unawaringly install goondas to loot the nation's resources : do we really need it ?!

  12. When you have elections every 3 months so its kind of continuous assesement of govt not only at state level but central level, it creates a fear in central govt that if they do something wrong, so they may lose the state in coming election, just like you have exam 3 times in an year to check your own performance, but if there is only one election, so after that govt will be completely fearless for next 5 years

  13. One nation, one election will give Government a good duration of time to do something real rather than only populist measures. However, the elected members should be directed by their respective party offices that they should be in constant touch with the people and to be on ground. Otherwise the frustration of people of seeing their leader at the election time only will be doubled up.

  14. I suggest India should follow Germany or Canada style of political system. . Specially Canada is more suitable where political parties have to make little adjustment with out change of any law.

  15. We need one election, if not these political leader public money suckers do more corruption for every election .

  16. Political parties sirf apna fayeda sonch rahi hai public ke liye koi nahi.yeh log bhul gaye we the people first not the any party.

  17. Hehehehehehehehe, one party democracy. Two contradictions used in the same sentence to make one meaning. How very interestingly funny.

  18. Is ka matlab yeh hua ke bjp constitution ko badalna chah rahi hai aur khud dictator banna chah rahi hai.kharch kam karna nahi.yeh government jhoot bol rahi hai

  19. Agar aisa hua to public ka haq aur zeyada kam ho jayega.aur election ko to bjp ne khud etna mahnga kia hai

  20. REGIONAL PARTIES ARE RULLING SO MANY STATES FOR THE PAST SO MANY YEARS EVEN WHEN NATIONAL PARTY WERE WINNING AT THE CENTRE.

  21. MULLAHS QURESHI AFTER LEAVING EC HAS JOINED SOME JIHADI GANG. IF A PARTY PERFORM IT WILL WIN WHAT IT HAS TO DO WITH DIVERSITY OR REGIONALISM.

  22. We need to hold all state elections together and the lok sabha elections together… This is NOT about cost alone.. Its also about corruption… More elections is just encouraging more regular bribes given… If the elections are fewer then people get less used to such bribes and cleans our system over time

  23. Cost is just one of the benefits. Real benefit is that parties are not in election mode, perpetually always. General elections are over and in 2 months time again the fight for 4 state elections will start. There is paralysis of governance and work stops.
