S. Korea’s National Assembly to begin annual audit of government bodies

South Korea’s National Assembly kicks
off its annual audit of government ministries and their affiliate agencies
at 10 a.m. Korea time on this Wednesday now for the next 20 days
all 17 parliamentary committees will inspect 788 government bodies now this
year’s audit is expected to be especially fierce since it will be the
last under the mundane administration and it comes ahead of next year’s
general elections now today dozens of government organizations including the
Supreme Court and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs defense Education and
Science will be in the hot seat rival parties are expected to focus on the
corruption and fraud allegations surrounding justice minister cho gook
and his family progress on denuclearization talks between North
Korea in the US as well as South Korea’s trade spat with Japan
