Federal Government Will Pay For Most Of Tornado Cleanup

THE FIRST FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT TOMORROW NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING WITH ANOTHER FREEZING MORNING ON FRIDAY. LOCAL LEADERS HOPING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WILL PICK A LARGE AMOUNT OF THE TAB FROM LAST WEEK’S TORNADO OUTBREAK. AN IMPORTANT FIRST STEP WAS MAKING THIS HAPPEN. FEMA CREWS TOWARD NEIGHBORHOODS LIKE THIS ONE NEAR SHEFFIELD DRIVE AND ALL DAILY ERODE ASSESSING ALL OF THE DAMAGE AND HERE IN RICHARDSON ALONE THERE ARE MORE THAN 45,000 YD.2 OF STORM DEBRIS AND THE DALLAS COUNTY JUDGE SAYS THAT IT COULD COST THE CITY $1.5 MILLION. TODAY CREWS FROM FEMA ALONG WITH STATE, COUNTY AND CITY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSESS THE DAMAGE. TEAMS ARE LOOKING COUNTYWIDE TO DETERMINE IF AN INSURED DAMAGES AMOUNT TO NEARLY $38.5 MILLION AND IF SO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WILL REIMBURSE. THE JUDGE SAYS THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION WILL BE BACK TO DETERMINE IF THE AREA QUALIFIES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO
